First Friday Open Studio at SoWa

We first found out about SoWa when searching for antique market around Boston.  SoWa stands for “South of Washington street”.  It reminded me of SoMa in San Francisco (South of Market).  Ahh, nostalgia.

This time, we were back for First Friday Open Studios at 450 Harrison Ave.  450 Harrison is home for SoWa Artists Guild.  Every Friday, artists open their doors, serve up some wine and crackers, and let you check out their artwork (and them) in their natural environment.

FREE
September 2nd  5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
October 7th  5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
November 4th  5:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Music and people fill around the area.  I forgot to take pictures of the actual studios within the buildings.  Use your imagination.

Overall, it’s a pleasant activity to spend a few hours on a Friday evening.  Highly recommend it.  Go with an open attitude; you never know what you will find.
