The Northern Avenue Bridge is a rare surviving example of a steel-framed operable swing bridge in Boston. Interestingly, it also bridges between Boston’s busy downtown financial district, and the growing innovation district.
Floating near by is this small “house”. Since the pathway to it looked as if it had been rotten away long ago, we can’t tell what it’s for anymore, or why it’s there. I like to make up stories for the house — for example, a secret hideout for fairies, since obviously you can only fly in and out of it?
